Northwest Missouri Regional Spelling Bee to be held Saturday

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - One student in our area is hoping to spell "winner" this weekend.

The Northwest Missouri Regional Spelling Bee, which represents 14 counties, is taking place tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Mosaic Life Care Foundation's emPowerU. Registration for the spelling bee begins just a half hour before the start.

Social distancing guidelines and other measures will be in place, due to the pandemic. The champion will move on to the Scripps National Spelling Bee preliminary.
